Field Work
A collection of visual design made for nonprofits and orgs — flyers, social graphics, and one-off pieces
UCSD VSA · CO-MEDIA CHAIR
Leading media for a 1,000+ member community
As Co-Media Chair for UCSD's Vietnamese Student Association, I co-managed social platforms and analyzed campaign performance to grow following and engagement for a 1,000+ member organization. I designed 10–15 monthly graphics, brought new campaign ideas to the team, and mentored 5 interns in social media management and design.

For Fall Welcome Week, I built a two-part campaign, "Bloom with VSA" as the week's overarching theme and "Level Up with VSA," a Pokémon-themed trading card series designed to drive shareable engagement. Combined with in-person flyering, turnout reached 300 members.
UCSD CSE DEPARTMENT · COMMUNICATIONS INTERN
Keeping faculty and alumni engaged with the department's research community
As Communications Intern for UCSD's Computer Science and Engineering Department, I created social media content for a 2.8K+ audience of current students, faculty, and alumni. My focus was building anticipation and sustained engagement around the department's biggest event, the CSE Research Open House, while encouraging faculty and alumni to stay connected to the department's research community long after graduation.

For the CSE Research Open House, I built a multi-stage content strategy: teaser posts in the lead-up gave students a sneak peek of what to expect, live Story coverage during the event kept the community updated in real time (and gave those who couldn't attend a recap), and interactive Q&A stickers kept engagement going beyond a single post. The goal throughout was to spotlight faculty and alumni achievements, keeping them engaged with the department and inspiring current undergrads to see what's possible in their own research careers.
YOUTH WILL · SOCIAL MEDIA & OUTREACH INTERN
Helping San Diego youth stay informed and engaged
Youth Will is a San Diego-based nonprofit that empowers young people through community organizing, grassroots advocacy, and policy reform, focusing on issues like housing, healthcare, and youth employment. As a Social Media & Outreach Intern, I created graphics and helped launch social media content ideas to keep youth informed about the organization's advocacy work, while also supporting outreach to strengthen connections with community organizations.

My content spanned both celebration and education, from spotlighting policy wins like San Diego's Menstrual Health Equity Day designation and the Free4Me pilot program, to building out a full Social Wellness Month carousel series breaking down what wellness means for youth and practical ways to practice it. I also designed the Resources for Youth toolkit, consolidating access to education, healthcare, housing, and other essential services into one shareable graphic, and promoted community events like the Youth Power Cooperative sessions on accessing mental health resources.
